Seaview Discontinues FTDR2: Introducing PM5FMT8 as an Alternative Top-Down Riser for FLIR M Series Thermal Cameras

Seaview has announced the discontinuation of part number FTDR2, a top-down riser designed for obsolete FLIR M Series thermal cameras. While this may come as disappointing news for some FLIR M Series camera owners, Seaview has an existing alternative solution in their product catalog called the PM5FMT8.

The FTDR2 was a popular accessory that provided a secure and stable mounting solution for FLIR M Series thermal cameras. However, with the discontinuation of the FLIR M Series cameras, Seaview had to make the decision to also discontinue the FTDR2. We recognized the need to continue to provide an alternative solution for FLIR M Series camera owners.

The PM5FMT8 is an existing camera mount that has been in Seaview's product catalog for years. It is specifically designed for FLIR M Series thermal cameras and made from high-quality aluminum, ensuring it is both durable and long-lasting. While it has different dimensions and a different look from the FTDR2, the PM5FMT8 provides the same secure and stable mounting solution as the discontinued part.
