Seaview has designed a self-draining waterproof base plate to be supplied standard with most Seaview mounts that have a 7" or 10" base plate. This base plate has a built in cable seal to provide a waterproof point of entry, while also self-draining if any water does happen to find its way into the base of the mount. This base will ensure that the cable entry is 100% waterproof and will not collect and hold water.
Finally the radar mounting solution I've been waiting for. A base plate with an integrated cable seal and pathway for any water should it enter the mount. Way to go Seaview. PS; I also like the fold over light mount.
